    They lived in the cave.
    Humans hunted wild animals for meat and gathered food
    Humans began to produce works of art such as cave paintings, rock art and jewellery.

    Neolithic or New Stone Age
    They developed agriculture, cultivation, livestock, hunting and animal domestication.

    In many regions people also began to live in permanent sedentary near the river.

    METAL AGE
    It started around 800 BC.
    The Metal Age is divided into three periods; Cooper Age, Bronze Age and Iron Age.
    People often used precious metals, to make jewellery.
    They used small weapons and tools
    Villages became small cities, surrounded by walls. The houses were small, with walls made of adobe or stone and ceilings made of straw.
    The human beings began to build monuments with big rocks of stone,(megaliths). The main megalithic monuments were menhirs, dolmens and cromlechs.

    Antiquity is the period between about 5.000 BCE (the beginnings of Western civilization) and about 476 CE (Fall of the Western Roman Empire)
    The civilizations are those of Mesopotamia, Egypt, Roman and Greece.

    They created walled cities to protect themselves from some attacks.
    Some cities became empires with an emperor who had absolute power.
    The religions of antiquity were polytheists.

    A mysterious disease known as the "Black Death" killed some 20 million people in Europe.
    Feudalism It consists of a master who was the owner of the land and the men who work the land were called servants.
    A monarchy was established in society was divided between the privileged and the unprivileged.
    Wars occurred because the empires wanted to dominate and fought each other.
