The Native Americans were forced to travel west to make room for more Americans. Federal troops took the Native Americans to what would now be Oklahoma from Mississippi, Florida, Alabama, and parts of Geogia. Many Native Americans died during this journey.

The Donner Party was a group of American settlers traveling to California. They got delayed and had to spend the winter there. they ran out of food and had to resort to cannibalism to survive. They ate the people that died.
