Subway hero in class video
Watched a video over the subway hero and also answered a few hero questions. My definition of a hero at this point is someone who saves lives and makes a huge impact on another persons life. I think the word is used to lightly and too many people are considered hero's. -
Roy Benavidez story
Learned about the heroic actions of Roy Benavidez. Even though his job was to keep a look out on those men who were on the feild, i feel like he is still a hero because he managed to save so many of them when he didnt need to sacrifice himself that much to do so. -
Peace corps volunteer.
Watched the interview with the peace corps volunteer. I got a new feel for what a hero is to me. It is someone who still impacts a persons life but doesnt have to save a life in order to do so but rather just be a light in it. -
I chose my hero
I chose my hero today, Walt Disney, and also found a book on him that was at least 200 pages long. -
Gale group and owl purdue in the Library
I went on gale group to look for 2 articles on Walt Disney and I was also on owl purdue reading about how to cite an electronic sourse in MLA format. -
Created a hero list.
This hero list contained various hero's from different categories and discriptive qualities of each. It opened my eyes to the idea that a hero can also be a visionary person, with dreams in their life like Walt Disney. he still impacted millions of lives but he started out with a dream and he just went for it. -
We are the youth of today, poem, and we are the people we've been waiting for.
We are the youth of today video pretty much stated that the youth is the future and we are the ones that are in control right now. From the poem video i realized that we need to be the change that we want to see and its only going to happen if the youth steps in and notices. Also, we are the people we've been waiting for shows that the youth are the new leaders of our generation and also the upcoming one and we are heros to the rest of the world. -
All we gotta do, Year of the rat, and John Mayer videos.
In the all we gotta do video i learned that htere is not one solution to every problem in our world and we cant expect to find it. In the year of the rat video I came to the idea that you honestly do not have to do a superhero deed to be considered a hero. A simple hug to a person who is having a bad day is all it takes to be a hero. From the John Mayer music video i noticed that people in the world are litterally just sitting and waiting on the world to change. -
