Hero Journey Project

  • Contemplating

On this day, I started contemplating who to pick as my hero. It proved to be a challenge though, as alot of medical heros don't have biographies or autobiographies.

On this day, my book arrived in the mail. I ordered it online because It was not available at any libraries.
  • Powerpoint notes: Day 1

On this day we started to go through a powerpoint in class. We talked about different types of heros, and what makes someone a hero.
  • Powerpoint notes: Day 2

On this day we continued the powerpoint. We went through and listened to songs with powerful lyrics about changing the world, and hugs. I agreed with some, but disagreed with others that seemed to just be complaining instead of actually taking actions themselves.
  • First Blog Post

On this day, we had our first blog post due. I wrote about the personal connection I have to the hero that I picked, as well as many other reasons and deciding factors that went into picking him as my hero
  • Powerpoint notes: Day 3

On this day, we finished the powerpoint. One of the last things we did is watch a video of a poem that can be read backwards and mean the opposite. It had a very powerful meaning and I liked it.

On this day, I worked on coming up with interview questions.

  • Searching for someone to interview

On this day, I spent the afternoon calling various hospitals and clincs trying to see if I could interview either an MRI Tech or Radiologist, It was really hard, because alot of the different hospitals legal departments wouldn't allow it. Also alot of them said they'd call me bac, but never did.
  • Virginia

On this day, my mom left to go to Virginia. I sent my questions with her, because my Aunt works at a hospital, so she is going to interview a Radiologist for me at UVA.
