    A war between Athens and Persia. Athens and Sparta made an alliance in order to defeat the Persians.

    The Greek Golden Age

    Under the rule of Pericles, Athens underwent a change in its culture. During the Golden Age, the Parthenon was built, Greek philosophers like Socrates, Plato, and Aristotle lived, and Greek architecture and art developed.

    The Peloponnesian War

    The war between Athens and Sparta regarding the amount of recognition that Sparta hadn't gotten for helping Sparta with the Persian War.

    At age 20, Alexander The Great of Macedonia, conquered Persia, Greece, Egypt, India, and Macedonia, along with other countries. Alexander The Great caused a blending of a culture known as Hellenistic.
