Greek soldiers barraged into Smyrna. Shortly after the Smyrna people began to protest. Prisoners were set free. A march killing thirty unarmed prisoners and 100 Greece people took place shortly before Smyrna was taken over by Greece.

General Loannis Metaxes declares a state of emergency. In attempt to end the growing amount of riots he declares martial law and establishes a crisis cabinet.
