    while in the cemetary, pip encounters escaped convict Magwitch and he commands the boy to do his bidding. pip complyes. but later the convict is arrested. but he covers for pip so he doesn't get it trouble.

  • pip arrives at the statis house

    this is where the wealthy miss havisham lives with a young girl called estella. pip immediatley falls for this girl, despite the cold way that she was treating him. and he hopes that Miss Havisham will make him into a rich enough man to be worthy of her. but his dreams are crushed when the old women says that she wants him to be a laborer in his families business.
  • pip begins working as an apprentice with joe

    pip begins unhappily working under his brother in law joe in the facory. where they work under the ruthless day laborer, Orlick. later after an altercation with orlick, pips sister, and joes wife, is attacked and becomes a mute ivalid. pip believes that orlick was behind the attack.
  • the lawyers news

    one day a lawyer named jaggers approaches pip and tells him that a secret benifactor has given pip a large fortune, and that pip should go to the city immediately so that he can behind to further his education as a gentleman. and pip believes that miss havisham is sercretly behind the money and is trying to help him win over estella.
  • pip meets herbert and they prosper in the land of england

    while rushed to england to become a proper gentleman, he meets herbert pocket who he quickly befriends. pip then turns 21 and he starts recieveing parts of his fortune. now him and herbert are kinda doing whatever they want in the city and living a good life. pip missed his friends and family but continues to pine after estella, the girl that he loves.
  • the funeral

    pip then finds out that his beloved sister, who he called, Mrs. joe, has died. after suffering the violent attack and left a mute. so pip returns home, grieving, for the funeral.
  • suprising news

    several years go by, and one night lying in his room pip gets a visit from a peculiar figure. it is magwitch, the convict that i mentioned in the beginning, and that THE is the source of the fortune that pip had mysteriously been given. and he was so moved by pips kindness as a boy that he felt he deserves it. but another big motive was the HE was estellas father!! ( when i found this out, i was honestly shocked ) and he wanted pip to be worthy of his daughter!

    after speaking with magwitch, pip finds out that other than magwitch being her father, that miss havisham had had her heart broken by a man that she loved, and so to get revenge, she had taken estella in, and taught her to be a ruthless heart breaker. and that as a boy, pip was just a specimen for estella to practice on.
  • everything falling into place

    pip begins to care for magwitch deeply as he continues to see the good in him, and feels it his job to help him escape london. pip visits the statis house were miss havisham begs for forgiveness after seeing the man that pip has become, but she later bends over fireplace and catches fire, and becomes an invalid and lives her last days repenting for her sins. while trying to help magwitch escape, they are caught and magwitch is sentenced to death, but takes this as a sign and goes happily.
  • the aftermath

    after magwitches death, pip falls ill and joe comes to england to care for him, then pip learns that miss havisham has dies and left most of her fortune to herbert pocket and his family, and joe talks of a women biddy who has cared for joe after his wife has died, in a hasty decision pip decided to go back home and marry biddy, but when he arrives he finds that biddy is already engaged but, estella has left a previous marrige where she was treated badly, and is now alone
  • the ending

    pip runs to the statis house in attempt to talk to estella one last time, and when they see eachother again, pip new that he made the right decision. and they leave the house hand in hand.
