    Estates General Meets at Versailles
    Due to problems in france the King was forced to call in the General meet of the three estates in france, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to resolve the countries issues. The meeting was held at Versailles where 1,200 deputies came with the king and queen who wore there nicests cloth for the occasion.     During 1789 parisians broke into bastille, a prison, acting out in a revolt for everything wrong with paris. This event was the first step in the french revolution.

    The Great Fear was by its title a time of panic and anxiety in which the peasants of the 3rd estate believed there was a plot against them by the other two estates including the king. the "abolition of the feudal regime and introduced the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen." also happened during the great fear after peasants burned documents against their lords.

    On October 5, women "revolted" at the markets as the bread prices were high for any rations still available. Many joined them as the terrorized the area demanding food until they marched to to King's palace in rain demanding him to come back to paris.

    The Flight to Varennes was when the king and his family attempted to leave their country for safety. They were traveling by coach when the king was recognised by a postmaster. The king was then taken back and put "under guard" causing him to lose the trust of his country.

    The French had declared war in 1792 with Austria and in return they were beaten badly with whiplash effects of starvation along with the fact Austria had an alliance with Prussia. When the war was near its due the french managed to take control of Valmy just outside of paris.

    Tuileries Stormed & Royal Family Imprisoned
    In 1792 the french had made another example out of the Tuileries where the royal highness was staying after being dragged to paris the first time. Mobs of worker class gathered at the entrance to prevent the king from passing through and spread rumors that the king would be harmed, so much so that noblemen came armed one night to protect the king until he attempted to flee where he was then put under house arrest.

    The Reign of Terror was a period of time under Robespierre who was somewhat of a dictator who used a guillotine to purge France of any corrupt. The origin of the reign was to purge France from any enemies or threats to the country such as in war.

    In 1792 Robespierre had executed two popular friends of his, "Danton and Desmoulins" which then caused the french government to grow suspicious of him. He was then considered a threat to the government of paris labeled tyrant to which he was disposed of by the guillotine.
