Estates General Meets at Versailles
Due to problems in france the King was forced to call in the General meet of the three estates in france, the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd to resolve the countries issues. The meeting was held at Versailles where 1,200 deputies came with the king and queen who wore there nicests cloth for the occasion. National Assembly Established

Bastille Stormed
During 1789 parisians broke into bastille, a prison, acting out in a revolt for everything wrong with paris. This event was the first step in the french revolution.

Great Fear
The Great Fear was by its title a time of panic and anxiety in which the peasants of the 3rd estate believed there was a plot against them by the other two estates including the king. the "abolition of the feudal regime and introduced the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen." also happened during the great fear after peasants burned documents against their lords.

This time period was when the 3rd estate had took a stand against and created the national assembly later forming the National Constituent Assembly to fix the constitution of France.

Bread Riots & Royal Family Forced to Paris
On October 5, women "revolted" at the markets as the bread prices were high for any rations still available. Many joined them as the terrorized the area demanding food until they marched to to King's palace in rain demanding him to come back to paris.

Flight to Varennes
The Flight to Varennes was when the king and his family attempted to leave their country for safety. They were traveling by coach when the king was recognised by a postmaster. The king was then taken back and put "under guard" causing him to lose the trust of his country.

France Declares War on Austria
The French had declared war in 1792 with Austria and in return they were beaten badly with whiplash effects of starvation along with the fact Austria had an alliance with Prussia. When the war was near its due the french managed to take control of Valmy just outside of paris.

Tuileries Stormed & Royal Family Imprisoned
In 1792 the french had made another example out of the Tuileries where the royal highness was staying after being dragged to paris the first time. Mobs of worker class gathered at the entrance to prevent the king from passing through and spread rumors that the king would be harmed, so much so that noblemen came armed one night to protect the king until he attempted to flee where he was then put under house arrest.

The Reign of Terror was a period of time under Robespierre who was somewhat of a dictator who used a guillotine to purge France of any corrupt. The origin of the reign was to purge France from any enemies or threats to the country such as in war.

King is Disposed & Beheaded
Between 1793 and 1799 King Louis XVI was put on trial charged with betrayal, sabotage, and bad leadership etc, where he was then found guilty and put to death by a guillotine without his rights of legal appeal to the people.

Robespierre is Beheaded
In 1792 Robespierre had executed two popular friends of his, "Danton and Desmoulins" which then caused the french government to grow suspicious of him. He was then considered a threat to the government of paris labeled tyrant to which he was disposed of by the guillotine.

Robespierre Become Leader of the Committee of Public Safety
In 1973 Maximilien Robespierre was elected Committee of Public Safety where he slowly exercised France into virtually dictatorship, giving orders when necessary to protect the country and run it better against its enemies.

The Directory Assumes Control
After the reign of terror, France was accustomed to having dictatorship rule over its people starting with Maximilian then to Napoleon who would later rule france a lot more constricted than it already was.
