  • Call of the Estates Generals

    The first meeting of the Estates-General since 1641. King Louis called a meeting of the Estates-General because of the government's financial problems.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    They kicked them out from the meeting room went to the tennis court but they cannot leave until they made a promise.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    A violent attack on the government by the people in France which created the start of the French Revolution.
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man

    The declaration of the rights of man was created to show how all men are equal under the law. It only applies to men, not to children or women.
  • March on Versailles

    a crowd of women demanding bread for their families.
  • Civil Constitution of Clergy

    An attempt to reform and regulate the Catholic church in France which made the french government control the church.
  • Royal Family Attemps to flee

    King Louis XVI, his queen Marie Antoinette, and his family tried escaping but failed the attempted so they got sent again to Paris.
  • Execution of the King

    King Louis XVI is executed by guillotine in the Place de la Revolution in Paris.
  • Reign of Terror

    A harsh period of time in which radicals took control over the government and arrested anyone who they believed that ere not loyal to the revolution. this caused many people's death.
  • Execution of Robespierre

    Maximilien Robespierre is overthrown and arrested by the National Convention. Robespierre encouraged the execution, mostly by guillotine
