    The National Assembly started passing laws that starts setting up their new government. Many of the laws being created were aimed at correcting past abuses.

    The Bastille Prison was a symbol of monarch rule. When the people of Paris captured and distroyed The Bastille Prison, it was very clear that they did not want to be ruled by a king.

    The people of the First and Second Estate of the fuedal system were unhappy with Fuedalism being done away with. It had taken away many of their privleges.

    After many people telling King Louis XVI to flee, Louis XVI and his family tried to escape to Austria. Austria is where his wife is from and they would be safe there. However, they were caught before making it to Austria and sent back to Paris.
