    It was an election of the estates generals for the 1st 2nd 3rd estate. All 3 of the estates explained the problems they were having. They were questioning if they all should join together and vote or have seperate meetings. This then made the 3rd estate form the National Assembly.
  • Creation of the National Assembly

    Creation of the National Assembly
    The Third estate and many lower class clergy and nobles didnt want to live by the old order, and they all came together to form the National Assembly. The king then legalized the National Assembly and the king started to get scared of being over thrown and started sending troops to surround the city protect him.

    Angry Parisians ambushed the Bastille , a fort where they kept prisoners and enemies, they where trying to take control because they didnt like the kings way, they were demanding guns and gun powder to prtect themselves. , this then launched the French Revolution.

    It states that men are born and will remain equal , guaranteed freedom of Speech , the press, and religion. The right did not extend to women. This made Frances government into a democracy.

    The National Convention was made to form a new constitustion for the country, this made the poorer classes get more political power, this formed new laws and a new government

    Before the kings head was cut off He made a speech of his innocence. We was then killed by the Guillitine. They killed the king so that there would be no return of Monarchry. This made all of Europe react in horror.

    People were getting killed by the Guillotine. 16,000 to 40,000 people were killed in the reign of terror. Leaders thought they were going to lose power.
