The French modled their own Declaration after the Declaration of Independance listing their rights very similar to our own. It is adopted into their legal system three weeks after the death of the Old Regime.

King Louis and his family attempted escaping France and going to the Austrian Netherlands. On the way to the border, they are apprehended which seals King Louis' death.

King Louis in an effort to escape is later caught and put on trial. He is executed for running away as well as being a bad king because the people hated him.

Under a group known as the Committee of Public Safety led by Robespierre, the Reign of Terror begins.

The people realized that what was happening was wrong and in blaming Robespierre as the leader of the Reign of Terror, they decide to execute him thus ending it.
