    The people of Paris strom hte basstile (prison), a much hated prison that symbolized autocraticrule. The revuolution had begun.

    The national assembly adopted hte decloration of right of man and citizen.The decloration gauaranteed the rights of " liberty, property, security, and resistance to oppression" to all people.

    20,000 Parisains invade the royal palace. Louis and his family imprisoned.

    The national conetive abolishes the monarchy and decleres Frace a republic. All adult male citizens are granted the right to vote and hold office. Women were not giving the same right.

    Great Britain, Holland, and spain joined prussia and Austria and fighting France. The national assembly drafts 300,000 french citizens into the army.

    Robeespierre governed france nearly as a dictator, this period became known as the reign of terror.

    Revolution leader Maximilion goes to put power into hand own hand. Becomes leader of public safety had people tried and executed in the same day.

    Louis is no longer king, the radical jacobins tryed Louis for treason and found him guilty. He was sentence to death.

    The national committee turns on Robesperre, claiming that he is a tyrant. He is executed on July 28

    Approxemately 3,000 were executed in Paris and as many as 40,00 were killed altogether.
