The Third Estate established the National Assembly, but was locked out of their regular meeting place at Versailles. The Third Estate found a new place to hold their meeting and instead of leaving they stayed in there until France had a new Constitution. On June 20, 1789 the Tennis Court Oath was taken. -
Marie Antoinette's Death
On January 21, 1793 King Louis XV I was convicted of treason. Eight days later he was executed but a guillotine. Ten months after his death Marie Antoinette was also executed by the guillotine. -

King Louis XVI was executed on the 21st of January 1793.His execution was held at the Revolution Square.The blade for the guillotine reportedly didn't sever his neck but cut straight through the back of his skull into his jaw.
