    King Louis XVI calls all the estate generals to get together which hasn't happened in a long time. They all met because the government was having financial problems. The first thing they talked about was how they were going to vote.

    Members of the third estate that called themselves the National Assembly took this oath. "It says that not to separate until, or reassemble where ever circumstances are required, until a written constitution has been written and established by France." So they weren't going to leave until there was a change in how the government works.

    Bastille is a military base and prison so it was a big target for the people to attack. This gives the rioters get weapons and gun from this attack and free 7 political figures from the prison. Bernard-René Jordan de Launay the military governor of that base was supposed to be tried in front of the Revolutionary council but was murdered by a mob before they could try him

    Woman were displeased by the price of bread and the scarcity of it. This ends up getting more people and falling into a political thing so there are thousands of people marching. They marched and started ransacking the city for weapons and Armour. They end up going to the Palace of Versailles and pressing there demands to the King.

    This was to reorganize and regulate the Catholic church in France as well as stop corruption and abuse in the church. They also made so the church was not a political influence. They also sold the church land since it they din't want anymore corruption then it did already. They also changed the pay for the priest.

    The Royal family tried to flee from Paris. They end up getting arrested in Varennes. They are forced back to Paris where the king has to go on trial.

    The people start to protest after they give the king his throne back. The crow disperse then comes back even bigger then the first. They then bring in the National guard which gets stones threw at them so the open fire killing at least 50 people.

    King Louis XVI signeds the constitution and also says that he has no power and he is just a figure head. They then find out that the king was trying to get other countries to help fight the revolution. So they put him an the guillotine for treason.

    Thousands of people are being sentenced to death because of 2 different political parties the Jacobin's and the Girondins. There were 16,594 death sentences and 2,693 were in Paris alone. The leader of the Jacobin's Maximilian becomes the new leader of the Revolution.

    The execution of Maximilian
    The government is placing all the deaths on him so there are going to show that they have power by arresting him. So the end up shooting Maximilian and almost killing him. The government still wants to show power so they don't give him a trial and instantly sentence him to death
