Call of the Estates General
The French government ran into financial problems. When this happened King Louis felt that he would call the Estates and they would solve the problem together. The Third Estate left and made the National Assembly which then led to the French Revolution. -
Tennis Court Oath
The Tennis Court Oath was the meeting of the 3rd estate.This meeting was held in a open tennis court that was next to the meeting hall. They were locked out of the meeting hall so they went to the tennis court and they said they wouldn't leave until they had a constitution written for there new National Assembly. -

The Storming of the Bastille was a angry mob that stormed the prison on the east side of Paris. The mob stormed the prison hoping to find weapons. They fought very hard to get in with many people dying and not finding as many weapons as they had hoped. -

This declaration gave the men equality and right as long as they were in the state. However this declaration didn't include women or slaves. This declaration was inspired by Thomas Jefferson as he helped Lafayette write it. -
March on Versailles
Was a group of close to 7,000 women who were marching and yeeling bread. As these women were furios at how the price went up and there was a shortage of bread but yet the King ad Queen were still eating good. This march started in Paris and went to Versailles . -
Civil Constitution of the Clergy
This constitution that states the French government can control the church. This was good for the government as they were having money problem. So they deciced that they would start to sell the church's land for money. -
Royal Family Tries to Flee.
When the king was arrested and sentenced to death he decided he would try and flee. He tried to male it to Austria were he hoped he would be safe. He was scared for his life and his family's life. -
Execution of Louis XVI
King Louis was executed by the guillotine. He was executed for conspiracy with foreign powers. The French National Convention sentenced him to death. -
Reign of Terror
The Reign of Terror was a period that had extreme violence with lots of people dying.This was the period of time that the guillotine. This was a weapon that caused the mass execution that happened during this time as they would put you head in it and drop a huge blade that would cut you head off in go. -
Napoleonic Control
Napoleon was the first emporer of France. He created the first French Empire. He accomplished many things in his time of power.
