Feudalism and Unfair Taxation
No one factor was responsible for the French Revolution. Years of mismanagement contributed the French society that would cause a revolt. The French went on a down economic spiral, King Louis XVI brought in a multiple number of financial people to view the problems with the french treasury, each one said there needed to be a change in how they tax the public.

The Estates General
May 5, 1789 Louis XVI summons Estates-General for its first meeting since 1614. The Third Estate breaks away from Estates-General, & calls itself as National Assembly.

National Assembly
The first and second estate didnt like the third estate, so the third estate left the first and second estate to become its own assembly, jami's speech. -
Tennis Court Oath
the Third Estate decided to break from the Estates General and draw up their own constitution. They also called themselves the "National Assembly." On June 20, 1789 they found themselves locked out of their meeting place, and so they gathered in an nearby tennis court and vowed that they would continue to meet until they had established a new constitution for France. That was the first step of the French revolution, as the Third Estate had no right to act as the National Assembly.

The National Assembly succeeded in drafting a constitution, the relative peace of the moment didn't last long. A rift grew between the radical and moderate assembly members, while the common laborers and workers began to feel overlooked -
