    Louis calls the Estates-General
    First meeting since 1614, called to talk about what to do to pay off the debt they have. Louis wants to tax the nobles to get the money but that will just chain down to the commoners eventualy so they spilt off and make the national assembly.
  • Tennis Court Oath

    Tennis Court Oath
    Oath that people took saying that they would refuse to leave the tennis court until a new constitution was established. Shocked the king and was basicly the start of the French Revolution. Only one person in the tennis court did not sign the oath.
  • Storming of the Bastille

    Storming of the Bastille
    French revolutionarys storm a small prison to "free" the people who are held inside. In actuality they probably just wanted the arms that were held inside the prisson.
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man

    Declaration of the Rights of Man
    People of the revolution in an atempt to have commoners re-gain faith in the revolution declare the rghts of man, which states that all men are born with certian libertys. It was based on the Declaration of independance back in America.

    A large group of angry women who marched to the palace of the king and queen under the suspicion that the queen was hording bread. Queen had no bread, but the king and queen were forced to march back to paris and live there.

    Louis the king of France is put on trial for crimes against the country. He is sentanced to death and is publicly executed by guillotine.
  • The Terror

    The Terror
    Time in which people were terrified for their own saftey, anyone caught saying anything bad or even not positive about the revolution could be sentanced to death and many thousand were. This time period re-gained power for the revolution, maybe even a little too much.
  • Robespierre Killed

    Robespierre's death is considered by some the "end" of The Terror and possibly the point were the revolution starts to die down and people go back to their normal lives
