  • Meeting of the Estates

    Meeting of the Estates
    The three estates decided to meet in Versailles to try to improve the paying of taxes. They said that when they meet, each delegate would have one vote.
  • Voted to Establish the National Assmebly

    Voted to Establish the National Assmebly
    While in the meeting, the Third Estate decided to vote for the National Assembly. They passed laws in name of the French, so this was the end of absolute monarchy. A few days later, the delegates of the Third Estate were locked out of the meeting room, so they broke a door and got in an indoor tennis court were they said they would stay until there was a new constitution
  • Storming of the Bastille

    A group that was searching for gunpoweder and arms, got to the Bastille which was a Paris Prison. When the attackers had already killed some of the guards, they used their heads and put them on top of the pikes they were using
  • Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen

    Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen
    National Assembly got a statement of ideas, and then created the Declaration of the Rights of Man and of the Citizen. The rights involved: Liberty, Propoerty, Security, Equal Justice, Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion
  • Bread Riots

    Bread Riots
    Women lead the delegation to the King in Versaille demanding bread price. Women went to Versailles with weapons, protesting against the National Assembly and got so mad that they even killed some of the guards.
  • France Declares War of Austria

    Legislative Assembly of France declared war in Austria. France had a weak and messy army while Austria had allied with Prussia. The French Revolutionary Wars started.
  • Tuileries Invasion

    20,000 of men and women decided to invade the palace in which the royal family was liviing. The group killed the guards and impriosioned King Louis, Marie Antoniette, and the children
  • Louis XVI Execution

    Louis XVI, who was the King of France, was executed. This was done by using a special machine called the guillotine so his head was cut out of his body.
  • France declares war of Britian and Holland

    Somewhere in February, France declared to have war on Britian and Holland. The convention was the one that declared the war and in February there is also the counter-revolutnary revolt
  • End of the Terror

    Members of the National Convention turned on Robespierre because of the fear of safety. They also started saying that he should be arrested and executed. So in July 24, Roberpierre was taken to the guilotine and the end of terror was finished.
