I think that this was important to the Frenh Revolution because the of the debt that the empire was in. -

During the American Revolution, France allied with the United States. they declared war on Great Britian. The war left France in a lot of debt.
This is an important event because it shows how much money the French lost because of wars. Coincedentally, it is a major reson for the French Revolution.

The Bastille was a pridon in Paris. The prison containe 7 inmates of the time of its storming. The citizens stormd the prison to get the arms and supplies stored there.
This event has made an impact on French society and was the flashpoint of the French Revolution.

One of the main purposes of the French Revolution was to abolish fudalism. During these few hours, France abolished many things including the fuedal system. It changed everything.
This is a major event because the citizens had set out to complete many things, and the government had sided with them and changed things.

Champ de Mars Massacre
On that day, the National Constituent Assembly issued a decree that Louis XVI, would remain king under a constitutional monarchy. Later that day, leaders of the republicans in France rallied against this decision. The National Guard opened fire on the crowd.
This is important to the French Revolution because it showed how desparate the citizens are for their wants/rights.

The Constitution of 1791 is proclaimed
This is the first constitution of France. It was created after the collapse of the monarchy. It wrote out the individual rights of men and women.
This is an important event because it lays out what the citizens want for their country instead of what one person wants.

Formal abolition of the French monarchy, France declared a Republic
Previously, French citizens stormed the palace and demanded the rmoval of the king. The french didn't think that it was right to have a monarchy. They did everythig they could for the removal of the king.

Execution of Louis XVI
Louis was tried for high treason and condemned to death. He had previously attempted to escape from France. People began to dislike him after he was returned by guard.
This is an important because it officially shows the end of the monarchy and how this is the death of the last King.

The Battle of Abukir was a battle in which Napoleon Bonaparte defeated Seid Mustafa Pasha's Ottoman army on 25 July 1799, during the French campaign in Egypt. Napoleon brought together as many troops as possible.
This is important because it shows that Napolean is willing ot do anything ot expand his power.

He is one of the best military strategists. He is the first to hold the title of emporer in thousands of years. He created the Frensh empire.
This is important because it shows France as a military threat to others, as opposed to a weak country in war with itself.
