The Enlightment
King should be limited, people should have rights and freedom, the king is breaking the social contract, philosphers are pushing the French people to revolt. -
Tennis court oath
Instead of meeting in the meeting room all of the estates decided to meet at the tennis court instead to talk. When they went there to make the drm, they also decided to make the tennis court oath. The ooath was that the 3rd estate would keep meeting until the drm was completed. -
National Assembly
1st and 2nd estate outvoted 3rd estate. When the 3rd estate got mad, they stromed out. and at there next meeting they found that the door had been locked. So that none could leave nor get out. The king wanted them to talk about there problems and solve everything. So he locked the door so none could get out or in. -
French Revolution begins
Thousands of parisans attack the fort and sucsefully get the gun powder from the Bastille. Then, the revolution began -
Declaration of rights of man
All 3 estates got together and made rights for all french people.They made 17 artlices and the king had to sign on them. -
The Bread March
Woman all of Pris marched 12 miles to Versailles. They had a bunch of weapons. They wanted food and for the king to sign the drm. -
Cause of French Revolution
The cause of the French Revloution was the overthrown goverment.And the conflict between the monarchy. People didnt like how there was one person to rule the whole country. France went bankrupt, bad harvesting, and the estate system. -
Bread march results
Thousands of woman break through the gates a murder all of the guards. King and his wife were captured and forced to sign the drm. King and queen were brought to Pris everyone took all of their foood. King Louis 16 would never go back to Versailles again. -
The Great Escape
The royal family is under house arrest. One night the king and his family got in a carrige and tried to escape Paris and go to Austria. They made it right before the Austrian border before the people of Paris caught them. And brought them back. -
Death of king Louis the 16th
He mostly died becuase he wasnt a good leader. And he wouldnt sign the consatutuion. He didnt really care about the revolution. So people got sick of it and they decided to execute him and his wife and kids. -
War
Austria, Pruissa, Spain, Portugale, Britain, and The Dutch republic declared war on France and ivaded. France won the war. but if they were to loose, the monarchy would be restored and France would be crushed. -
Attack on Bastille
There where serve shortages this year. The 3rd etsate decided to join a national assembly. King Louis made troops surround Paris -
Reign of terror
Great Britain started a war with Austria. They mostly killed anyone who was against the French Revolution. Marie Antoniette and her kids got exectued. Robespierre was also being sent to the qullotine. -
France went out of money
king forced to call a meeting with the 3 estates. They would vote on who would pay taxes. Each estate got the same amout of votes. -
Napoleon Bonaparte
During the revolution Napoleon rose through the military marks. He became the leader of the French army. Then he overthrew the goverment and became a dictator of France. -
Results of the French Revolution
The result of the French Revolution was monarchy came to an end in Europe. The church lost most of its power. People now have right and freedom. In France there are no longer three estates. The 3rd estate gained a lot and the 1st and 2nd estate lost everything. So there was some good and bad results that came out of this for people. Just depened on who you were. -
