People in France were beginning to go hungry because the king raised the prices of bread to help with his own problem. Many large groups of woman began to protest for the change. -
The king now has began to fear for his own life, so he began to plan to flee France. They disguised themselves in an attempt, but they were soon caught. -
Because of the kings attempt to flee, the people began to turn against the king, and they considered him a traitor. The king and the queen were then taken and placed in jail. -
This was created to protect the Republic against traitors. Many people who were thought to be traitors were executed or passed in custody. -
Many people in the government began to fear for their lives because of Robespierre's killing spree. He was then guillotined like many of his victims. -
After Robespierre's death and new constitution was written. It created a group of new leaders. But after a while soon began to experience financial difficulties.
