    General Estates Called

    France Was in ruin, after they spent a lot of money with wars and a famine happening the economy was at a huge low. after King Louis XVI was crowned he wasn't supposed to be king so he was not ready. The Estates general was Called, this is the first time that it was called in 175 years, the estates were called to do originally the third estate did have a spot even though compared to it's population it wasn't good representation. Because they were not well represented they left.

    Once the third estate left the general estates they decided to band together and created The National Assembly this is the first time that the peasants and lower class (3rd estate and very few of the second estate) decided to work together to make change in France. The place they found to meet was a tennis court this is truly the start of the revolution as it is the start of making changes and sticking together

    After Finding a place to meet at the Tennis court hence the name, This isn't the most notable event that happened however this is the official meeting of the National Assembly this is where they decided what to do in the future. During this they pledged that they wouldn't disband until they got what they wanted, which was change to the system making it fairer to them.

    This is a pivotal moment of the Revolution. This is the first violent action of the revolution. As an angry mob approached the Bastille the guards tried to fend the mob off but failed, allowing the mob to get into the prison. The seven prisoners held there were freed but the most important part of the bastille was showing the peoples strength, obtaining gunpowder and showing the lengths they will go to hae change

    This was the government being overthrown and in place of the absolute monarchy they made the constitutional monarchy which took a lot of power away from the king, this was unheard of before this and it was the first government that opposed the ideas of the divine right of kings

    First Ideas of democracy the constitutional monarchy was overthrown the new government implemented new ideas aswell as took more power away from the king

    the people still hated the monarchs and they wanted to go on without them. in order to do that many people believed that the only way to do that was to kill them.
