    Meeting of Estates General
    This meeting was summoned by King Louis XVI in hopes of solving the finance crisis in France. Each estate was represented and the thrid estate would always be overuled to the other two estates becuase each estate only got one vote. This lead to the National esembly.   • The Fall of Bastille

    The Fall of Bastille
    An angry mob descended into the prison og Bastille due to unfair punishment for minor crimes. This was to show hatred to Louis' regime. This was the first real action citizens took in rebellion.   • March on Versailles

    March on Versailles
    People in France were unemployed, hungry , and just plain upset of the lack of governmental care. The people of France once again created an angry mob and broke into Versailles to address the king himself. Surprisingly King Louis agreed to return among the commoners to live a commoner life.   • Flight to Varennes

    Flight to Varennes
    The National assembly started to work on a new French constitution that King Louis wasn't in favor of. King Louis wrote a manifesto denoucing the Revolution on his way to seek refuge in Austria. King Louis was caught in Varennes and sent back into France.   • Dissolution of the National Assembly

    Dissolution of the National Assembly
    The new constitution is finally created and so is a new French government. France became a constitional monarchy. The National Assembly was dissolved and was replaced by a legislative assembly with none of the same members.   • France Declares War on Austria

    France Declares War on Austria
    France was begining to be viewed with both fear and anger with countries in Europe especially with Austria. King Louis wanted to declared war on Austria because he was afraid that thy would overtrow the new French government. Revolutionaries wanted war to unify France.   • Attack on the Tuileries Palace

    Attack on the Tuileries Palace
    Austria and its allies started getting into France which stressed out the French government. The king fleed the country and became known as a traitor. Finally there was a huge attack on the Palace which to the citizens disappointment the king wasn't there.     Declaration of the Republic and the Trial of Louis
    The Legislative Aseembly now became the National convention after the King and Queen's arrest. King Louis was charged guilty of treason and was executed. The queen was charged of many crimes and was also killed.   • Robespierre's arrest

    Robespierre's arrest
    Maximilien Robespierre wanted to rid France of all enemies of the Revolution in doing so 16,000 people was executed. This was called the reign of terror. Finally Robespierre got arrested when he killed a religious leader.   • The Rise of Napolean

    The Rise of Napolean
    After the fall of Robspierre, the National convention created another constitution for France. A new government called the Directory was created but was unsuccessful. Finally Napolean Bonapart ousted the new government and began to reign.
