    The National Assembly was created because the commoners (Third Estate) were locked out of the Hall at Versailles. They needed a place to meet which was at the tennis court. They didn't until they had created a new constitution.

    Robespierre was a very strong political leader in the French Revolution. At first, he was against using the guillotine, but by 1793 he was in charge of almost 17,000 deaths by guillotine. After adopting the Reign of Terror, many grew to dislike Robespierre, therefore he was arrested on July 27 and executed on July 28.

    The Directory overtook the Committee of Public Safety. The Directory, while in power, was constantly at war with other foreign coalitions. The Directory had little power, but they could assign people to specific spots.

    Napoleon was a very strong, young leader for the French army even defeating the British in an invasion. Napoleon became part of the Consul. He called himself the number one consul which had the most power. The other two consuls had little to no power. Soon Napoleon became emperor of France.

    Napoleon was exiled to Elba, but shortly after escaped back to France where he led a successful war campaign before he lost at Waterloo. After that, he was exiled to Saint Helena where he died six years later of stomach cancer.
