    The Chancellor Maupeou decided to recognize the Legal System which included the Parliament and caused Paris to split up and the magistrates where approached by the government. It was important because if Maupeou hadn’t “taken away” the parliament when he did King Louis XVI would have had a chance to sustain the outbreak of the French Revolution.
