    The Estates General was called by the king, King Louis XVI. the last time it was called was in 1614 because of the death of King Henry IV. It was called to discuss the taxes of the third estate to end the financial crisis. What they discussed had no effect unless the king allowed it. They were basically just suggestions to end it.

    The declaration created by the National assembly. The new rules in which the French rebels had to abide by. Basically stated that all men are created with the same three rights. Liberty, Equality, and Fraternity.

    A group of about 30,000 people came to the palce to capture to king. The mob killed 600 out of the 900 guard there before they surrendered. The eventually found the king and his family hiding. They arrested them all.

    A very major event of the entire revolution. The king was executed by guillotine. (Chopping of the head). This ended the monarchy and his death was celebrated. He was the first to die during the Reign Of Terror.

    This committee was used to protect France from foreign attacks and rebellions. It replaced the Committee of General Defence. The ruler at the time was Maximilien Robespierre and he was its best leader.
