March of Versailles: A large crowd of mostly woman protesters, marched from Paris to the Palace of Versailles to convince the royal family to move back to France where his land laid, and give them bread. -
June 20, 1791
Flight to Varennes: Members of the Assembly decided to restrict the kings power, which made the King and Queen feel like prisoners in their palace and decided to leave in refuge in Austria, They got to the town of Varennes, where they were recognized and forced to go back. -
September 30, 1791
Dissolution of the national assembly: September 30th, 1791 was when the constitution came into effect. The National Assembly was replaced by a new body, the Legislative assembly. -
August 10, 1792
On August 10th, 1792, about 20,000 people stormed the palace of the Royal king and queen. They were both widely known as traitors for trying to escape the city. They escaped and protected themselves under the Legislative Assembly. -
January 21, 1793
The King and Queen of France had been arrested and waiting trial. Louis XVI declared France as a republic before his trial and was found guilty for treason. Marie Antoinette was found guilty of many crimes and awaited her death with Louis.
