The Estates General has been called for the first time in 175 years to discuss plans to help an incompetent king bring a nation out of economic down spiral to return to the right place behind the British Monarchy as a strong nation. The Estates General establishes a base line to tax the 3rd estate further to bring France more money to spend on the King (Louis the XVl) to throw parties and keep the 2nd and 1st Estate happy in times of hardship. -
The National Assembly was the 3rd Estates striving to make the Estates General and their nation a more fair and just one. They tried forcing the 2nd and 1st Estates to give them votes per person and not the mass because it was always 2-1. The 3rd Estate left the meeting and went to a building down the street to form the National Assembly to imprint in Frances Monarchy they had voiced and are going to be heard -
The Tennis Court Oath was an oath the 3rd Estate took to define that they will not disband until they are heard and France is made more fair and just. The Oath made them enemies of the state, the king set out to forcefully disband them. The National Assembly was growing in power and the King was becoming fearful because the 2nd and 1st Estate had numbers the 3rd Estate could easily overrun. The Assembly stormed an armoury to steal guns to fight back against an oppressive Monarchy. -
The National Assembly had guns but no black powder to use them. They turned to the Bastille, a stronghold/ prison holding 3rd Estate members and black powder for their rifles. In the process they gained five new members to the cause, they had been prisoners in the Bastille at the time. The storming of the Bastille ignited a spark starting the French Revolution. Once they stormed the Bastille they had all the weapons to revolt and bring on a reign of 3rd Estate power to Frances Monarchy. -
A Constitutional Monarchy meant France was no longer in the Dark Ages. They had a slightly more King decentered reign. The Monarchy however was still unfair, the 3rd Estate was still just as powerless. The king and Clergy had all the power but they had rules to follow to keep the 3rd Estate peasants slightly pleased. -
After the National Assembly overthrows the Monarchy they create a new government. This begins a new age of Frances political system. France now has a collective consciousness. They begin to have a sense of Nationalism because the King has essentially had all his power taken away and the 3rd Estate now has power to influence decisions.
Liberte, Egalite, Fraternite. Liberty, Equality, Brotherhood. France has taken power and has a Brotherhood running things.
231 years ago France became a Republic. -
King Louis has finally been taken and after years of hardship the National Assembly is ready to end it all. They bring the King to the center of town, and behead him. This marks the end of struggle and the beginning of a new prosperous age.
Then later on October, 19th. Marie Antoinette, the last living monarch. The last symbol of oppression, is beheaded. The National Assembly has abolished the Monarchy and brought forth the Reign Of Terror -
Max. Robes. The man in charge of the National Assembly is afraid. He is afraid that even though the Monarchy is crippled they still stand to lose their enlightenment. He begins to behead anyone who thinks of even liking the King. He forms the Committee of Public Safety. This Committee goes around France and will behead anyone who dares speak ill of the Assembly or in even a little favour of the king. This strikes terror in to the hearts of France and they don't dare speak their mind on anything. -
After a year of Terror Max. Robes. followers realize he is becoming power trippy and paranoid. They confer and decide the best course of action to end all of the atrocities he brought upon France, he needs to be a victim of his own paranoia. July 27th, Max. Robes. is beheaded ending the Reign of Terror and truly beginning a new enlightened era where France can prosper in happiness and not be afraid to speak ill of anyone or not follow a flock.
