1974 Super Outbreak
The 1974 Super Outbreak was the second-largest tornado outbreak for a 24-hour period. There were a total of 148 tornadoes in the states Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee, Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia, and New York. It resulted in 319 fatalities and 5,484 injuries. -
