    Counterculture was a social change where people passed off their responsibilities and delved into a sexual, drug full, peaceful lifestyle.     The Soviet Union and the US were engaged in a race for the moon. The Soviets sent a drone that reached the moon first however the US soon followed with the first humans to walk on the moon.
