    Megara forms alliance with Athens

    Previously they had been a Peloponnesian city-state, so this annoys Sparta. Athens builds sea walls for Megara.

    Battle at Asopus

    The Athenian and Spartan armies meet for the first time. Athens is initially defeated, but eventually regroups and wins, and manages to hold the area for the next ten years.
