The Roman Republic political system influenced many modern nations and their political system. Rome also took over a vast amount of territory which would leave an influence on the regions it controlled. -

Julius Ceaser lead to the creation of the Roman Empire which would go on and last for many years in the West and 1,000 years in the East. This would allow for the influence of Rome to be felt all around the Mediterranian. -

The Roman Empire Begins
The Roman Empire lasted longer than many other empires in history it spread influence across the Mediterranian and would lead to many new nations that would form after the collapse of the western portions but it would still leave its influence on Europe. -

Constantine Converts to Christianity
This changed things drastically for Christianity. It allowed Christianity to become more of a major religion as one of the Emperors of the Roman Empire converted to it. This would allow for Christianity to spread through out Europe and allow for many events such as the Reformation and the Crusades to occur. -

The Western Roman Empire Collapses
When the Western Roman Empire Collapsed it allowed for new nations to rise in its place such as France and England which would go on to influence the world in their own way leaving their own impacts. With the collapse of the western portion of the empire, it allowed for something new to take its place. -

The Crusades would invade much of the nordic nations and push Christianity upon them changing their view and stances it would also create leave its mark in nearly destroying nordic religion from existence leaving its mark on the world. -

The Byzantine Empire Falls
When the Byzantine Empire fell the last remaining portion of the Roman Empire fell. This would allow for more empires to rise in the place of the Eastern Roman empire it would also allow for some areas of eastern Europe to be independent. This impacted the world as it left another power vacuum and many nations the existed were able to be free from control. -

Columbus Lands in the Caribbean
Columbus landing in the Caribbean allowed for the Americas and Europe to be in more contact with one another. This also caused the great dying of the native populations of the Americas greatly impacting them. -

The Protestant Reformation Begins
The Protestant reformation questioned the corruption within the Catholic Church and created a new division in Christianity and even, later on, started a reformation within the Catholic Church that would help stop some of the corruption within the church.
