My Time in FFA, My Favorite Organization

  • The First Practice

    The First Practice
The first time I was put into an FFA event, I was in an after school practice of Sales. I was told jokingly by my soon to be favorite advisor it was either practice or detention and I am so happy I chose to go to practice that day. I went into this room knowing nothing about the event and I fell in love with it within the short time I was in the practice making up facts about horse nutrition.

  • District Leadership

    District Leadership
I had grown so close to my chapter members and our teams that I became an officer of our chapter and continued to pour myself into an organization I love and believe in. We compete every year in our own district to advance onto the state contest and I actually took 2nd in my event, and our team took home gold as well. I made the most amazing connections with this group of people.
  • National Convention

    National Convention
This was the first time I had really gone a far distance from North Dakota with anyone, and I am so blessed to have the opportunity. We went to National Convention in Indianapolis and learned so many things not only about agriculture, but about business, leadership, and so much more.
  • Washington DC Leadership Conference

    Washington DC Leadership Conference
I was given the opportunity to fly to DC with my closest friends to help their community and learn more about leadership. This trip was an amazing time to grow with my friends one last time as we had all just graduated high school, as well as making more friends from all across the country. We spent this week touring national monuments and museums, and it was amazing.
  • State Convention

    State Convention
This was our last set of contests as a group, and we all had an amazing time at convention. We were able to take part in selecting the next set of state officials for our organization, as well as compete in different contests as we learned and had fun. I completed my state degree along with my former officer team member. We had done the work as a group and got to finish strong as we took home highest individual in one contest. We ended our years together strong and close.
