An English fleet cut off the French supplies to the Quebec settlement, in 1628, and then told Champlain to surrender the fort.

After the French surrendered they took Champlain as a hostage back to England.

The French finnaly surrender in 1629 to the English at the fort in Quebec.

The French and English signed a peace treaty in 1632 calle the Saint-Germain-en-Laye which returned the Quebec back to the French.

He sailed back to Quebec in 1633 after the treaty was signed and had to rebuild the fort

On December 25 Christmas day 1635, Samuel De Champlain said goodbye to the world in Quebec, and left the world.
