    About 476 BCE to 1215 A.D. Almost all of europe was a monarchy by this time. France, England, Russia and many more countries were ruled by a king, queen or both. Kings belived that their power came directly from god so they were the ulimate power on earth and to question them was to question god. this was called the Devine right of kings.
