  • declaration of the rights of man

    National assembly seized power for itself. This increased freedom of press and named that all men are created equally. This right was only for men not women. this included a change to who can hold office,taxes and religious freedom.
  • Tennis court oath

    The Third estate broke into the tennis court and said they will stay there untill the National Assembly signed the constitution.
  • Louis calls the estates-general

    This was the first meeting since 1614, the state generals met at Versailles. The purpose of the meeting was to obtain the assemblys consent to a general to fiscal reform. Each estate spoke their grevences at the meeting.
  • storming of bastille

    people in paris believed that the king was going to use force to regain his power. Power gathered as mobs an damred themselves and stormed Paris prisons and tore donw the Bastille.
  • march to versailles

    women marched from Paris to Versailles and they wanted the king to return to Paris and was angry at the queen. this forced both the king and queen to return to Paris.
  • Robespierre comes to power

    A comittee of public safety to act as a war cabinet. This became the chief executive power in which Robespierre ran. When Robespierre came to power the months when the people briefly the masters of the first French republic in september of 1792, is also known as the ''terror''.
  • The terror

    The Terror was the reign Robespierre led in september of 1793 to 1974. Revo courts conducted to the quick hasty childs. This led them to believe this was necassary to achieve their gaosl in revo. This remoeved those who disagreed with the revo and this increased power with Robispierre.
  • Robespierre's Death

    Robespierre was watched at the city hall where he attempted a suicide. and failed. He was later taken to get beheaded. At this time France entered a period of uncertainty. This changed face of France and changed society as a whole.
