Evaluation Question 6; What have you learned about technologies from the process of constructing this product?

My first use of Blogger
I first started using blogger to document my media course, iIfound it easy to use and easy to adapt what I wanted to present on it. Blogger is our main toll on the internet for recording everything we do, Learning the ropes of blogger is vital to proressing through the course and presenting a neat and tidy blog to contribute to our grade. -

Media Course

Using a digital camcorder
I had used a digital camera previously but never with the skill needed for the media project, I have learnt alot about the control and positioning of the camera but also about the filming and the playback. -
Tripod
This was my first use of a tripodto steady the camera and make the shot clearer. The tripod was relatively easy to use and pick up. As we had to use the tripod almost everytime we filmed it was essential that I knew how to use it. -
Final Cut Express
I learned alot using this program. I learned the basic of editing using cuts but also more advanced editing such as dissolves. I also learned how to edit the music in depth by fading the music and also lowering and increasing the volume at ke points. I had to become familiar with final cut as soon as I started the course and since the first use I haven't stopped learning from it. -
Microphone
We first used the microphone during our preliminary task. It was quite easy to use but it is easy to forget about. I learnt to make checks before filming to be sure that the micrphone is on and ut of shot but close enough to pick up the sound. -
Spicynodes
I used spicy nodes to outline the thriller conventions. Spicy nodes was difficult to use at first but as I carried on using it it became easier. Spicynodes was a good tool to complete our spider diagram of thriller conventions early in the course when my knowledge of the internet programs was limited, however now I am more experienced I would prefer to use popplet. -
Monopod
We used the monopod in our final product because it was easier and more manouverable than the tripod. We had to learn to keep steady and keep in controlled. The monopod really helped out with our CCTV shot becuase it allowed us to get extra height which wouldnt have been acheivable with the tripod. -
Photoshop
We used photoshop to create our ident. I have limited use of photoshop as I have only used it a couple of times but it was relatively easy to use and create our ident. I -
LiveType
I used livetype to create the titles of the thriller. Livetype was a good program as it allowed us to experiment with the font and style of writing. It taught me alot about titles and putting them together. -
Music
We had to use freestockmusic to get our music. I had to learn to navigate the site, download the music and edit it into our project. On free stock music we whittled down to a few appropriate tracks and from there we editied all 3 into our project before deciding on a final track. -
Evaluation Question 1 and 3
I first used popplet to complete my first evaluation question and i really enjoyed it because of the ease of use and its effective layout. I also used popplet for my evaluation question 4 because of its effectiveness. -
Evaluation Quesiton 2
For my second evaluation quesiton I used Glogster, this was my first time using glogster and I found it to be quite easy to use put not as easy or as effective as popplet but it still got all the information down in an easy to use format. -
Evaluaiton Quesstion 3
I used a program which i had slight experience of for this question because I thought it needed a powerpoint style of presentation so I used sliderocket. My limited understanding of slide rocket was overcome very easily and sliderocket really helped. -
Evaluation Question 5
For my 5th question I used surveymonkey which we had previous knowledge of due to our audience research. -

For this question I am using timetoast to catalougue the programs the technologies that I have learnt abotu during the course.
