Evaluation question 3

  • Use of internet

In October of 2014 I used the internet to to research the conventions of music videos for later work and creating my video. I done research by watching older videos, I watched the videos of different genres of music and saw the differences and similarities in most of the videos. You can check older blogs for more information and more research I've done and this blog for evidence.
  • Use of blogger (planning)

For planning I used the blog to put up an Animatic and storyboard of our video before going out this meant we had a clear plan of what we wanted from the shots and story our video told.
  • Use of Blogger (research)

Last year I also used blogger to show my research into music videos as we prepared to to make our video. I used the blog to show the ideas and things I found out from my research of real videos and work and how I would use it for my own work. I used images, youtube videos and text to show the research I done into music videos and present my findings.
  • Use of camera

On the 27th of October Last year we had our first day of filming we used the college provided camera to record most of our shots at Primrose Hill. We got more of our recording done at later dates.
  • 2 uses of Final Cut Pro

We bagan editing on the 20th of November. On Final Cut Pro I used the stabilization feature to keep shots which were shakey in our video more steady. There's an example of this on the blog. I also used Final Cut to disaturate the colour of my video, we done this to make it seem more bleak and colourless without going fully black and white.
  • Use of Photoshop

As well as for the repatition of my inside panel image, I also used Photoshop to create the CD for my ancillary work, to do this I had to use 4 different circles and images, to create the disk I layered 4 circle on top of each other to create the see-through rim of the disk and the white artwork. I also cropped the head of a sideway image of my artist and coloured it black to create the head on the centre of the CD.
