Digital Technology development

  • Swede

After looking at previous students work (using vimeo and youtube), we made a short comical horror. We filmed them using JVC and then edited it on Final Cut Pro

    AS blog

We used blogger as our rrimary source of documentation, and included inside this piece of technology we used numerous other forms, such as timetoast, prezi, GIFs and slideshare
  • The Breakfast Club remake

We used a lot of the same techniques that we did for the swede, however, because we were recreating something we went a different way about it. We used stills from the original as refernece, which allowed us to move faster and gain a stronger insight into professionally made products, especially in regard to camera angles and shot types.

    Teen film opening

We took information we learned from our previous film making and cumulated it together to create a strong final product. We developed our Final Cut skills (because our short was heavily dialect based, we used loads of match cuts to move the conversation), and used a new technology called Motion to make our title sequences.
  • Lip Sync tutorial

We used Final Cut Pro to lip sync a series of shots from the opening of a song. We used these skills a lot later on, so it was very useful
  • Practise music video

We made a 50 second music video for Youve Got the Love by The XX. We used the JVC cameras to film it, and then FCP to edit it. We used our lip sync training and then used loads of jump cuts (with the camera in the same place).
