  • Bait Tutorial

During the bait tutorial, we was learning the basics to media studies and what we was going to be doing in the next two years whist editing. The clips in this excercise was already imported for us, we just had to lean how to editing using Final Cut Pro.
  • Prelim Match

Whilst doing the prelim we used the camera to shoot the different amount of shots we wanted to do. The use of memory cards came into play when transfering the clips over to the Macs. Finally we used the software FCP to breifly edit our clips and create a short piece of footage.
  • Swede

We made the swede during the AS year. We used the camera to shoot the clips, doing a wide range of shot types, such as close ups, mid shots etc to make the swede look much stronger. Again using the memory cards to move over the clips we had whilst filming. Using final cut pro we edited our clips, which allowed us to have a continious flow of moving images. Coming to the end of the editing piece we had to use handbrake to get the finish piece to blogger size so we could upload it to the blogger.

    AS Blog

I developed my skills in blogging by using a range of technologies such as Prezi, Slidey, Slideshare etc. This was to keep my blog looking tidy and presentable keeping everything organsied so it was easy for the teachers to view particular topics. it also allowed me to post images and information about when we was out filming to keep the teachers posted on our movemeents during fioming letting them know we was safe.
  • The Breakfast Club

We drew up on a storyboard of how we wanted the breakfast club remake to look. Firstly, we took pictures of the storyboard using the DSLR and uploaded the images to FCP to make a short sequence of what it would look like over the soundtrack and uploading to the blog. Secondly, we made our version to the breakfast club using the camera and filming sequences before again uploading to FCP on the Mac. We was then able to edit the clips creating our remake version to the breakfast club.

    Teen Film Opening

We used a camera to film a wide varitey of shots having more experince and feeling more comfortable filming and using the DSLR cameras to take still images to show the progression we was making. After filming shots we used the Macs and software FCP to edit the shots we had creating a film opening adding in effects and garage sounds to make it look realistic and professional. To keep the teachers uptodate with our work we handbrake what we had and uploaded them to the blog showing the progression

    A2 blog

A2 blogging was much more successful. Being able to add in new things i have learnt to ensure that my blog was much more presentable and easier to understand due to the technologies used such as Prezi, Powertoon etc. This made my work easy for teachers to read. Adding photos, recorded interviews and apply our own knowledge really showed the improvement i had show from the AS year to the A2 year.
  • Remake of a section from a real music video

We used the camera to shoot how we wanted our remake to the music video to look like doing a practise run. We used the speakers to sing along with the track trying to get the lyrics the exact same as when the person was singing. We used FCP and learnt how to lip synch the clip we filmed and putting over the sound of the original track. We put the clip through handbrake and uploaded it to the blogger showing what we had learnt.
  • Lip synch tutorial

We had clips and music given to us as a gudie for when we was practising how to lip synch. By using the clips we was given and the sounds, on the Mac's we used FCP to edit a rough version of what was expected during the lip synch tutorial to give us some guidence to what we was going to be doing in the real piece.

During this time, we was reseaching, planning and filming our music video. Doing presentations explaining what we was doing using Prezi & Slideshare. We did questionnaire and filmed interviews asking people what they expected in music videos to get some inspiration. We filmeed with the camera in a wide range of locations trying to film the best quality shots. We took still images and posted them on the blog keeping the teachers updated. On the Mac's we used FCP to create basetracks of the shots

    Ancillary productions (digipak & advert)

I used the internet to look at existing digipak's to get some inspiration whilst making my own so i could get something looking similar to it. Using the software Photoshop on the Mac, I created my own digipak and avertisment of my artist. Using the template they had already on the software, it was all about trying to have a connection with the synergy making everything link with the artist. The effects of colour, position of the image played a part in making a successful digipak
