Chapter Three: Within the chapter, typical newborn reflexes were explained. When I was born, I did not demonstrate these healthy signs. I had jaundice and breathing difficulties. Due to this, I was admitted to the NICU. Over my week in the NICU, the health care workers and my mother nursed me back to health through medical procedures and skin to skin contact.

Chapter Two: My brother was a dizygotic twin. His name was Max. My brother and sister were two separate eggs that were fertilized by two different sperm cells.

Chapter Four: The language development milestone of forming sentences occurs between ages one to three. When I was first able to form a sentence, I chose to only say the same sentence over and over again. This sentence was "you don't know what you don't know." I do not understand why I loved this sentence, but I did. My mother called me a "walking fortune cookie" due to this. She still occasionally calls me a fortune cookie to this day.

Chapter One:
Nature verses nurture was exhibited in this part of my life. My father and I were seen as best friends because we exhibited the same mannerisms. Him and I still show signs of being related through genetics. The nature I was given at birth are visible when my dad and I are next to each other. The way he walks and sits are also visible in me. -
Chapter Seven: Roles, behaviors, and values within a culture are taught through socialization. A child's largest form of socialization comes from their educational environment. In kindergarten, I changed schools. This impacted the way I socialized.

Chapter Fourteen: Within chapter fourteen Alzheimer's disease was explained. When I was eight, my family cared for my grandpa with this disease. We made sure he was safe while he experienced confusion and difficulties with communication, memory, and attention.

Chapter Fifteen: My mother was an activity director for a nursing home when I was eleven years old. She would take me to work and have me sit with residents and make connections with frail older adults. The people in the home made a huge impact on how I approach others. My current career plan was created due to the connections I made with these adults.

Chapter Nine: Implementation is the phase of career development in which an individual enters the workforce. I completed this phase of development at 16. I entered the workforce as a nursing assistant.

Chapter Twelve: Burnout is very common in the health care field. Unfortunately, I experienced the emotion very early in my life. Working understaffed as a nursing assistant made me feel exploited as a worker. The exploitation was very intense. My compensation did not nearly reflect the amount of work I was completing.

Chapter Six: Emotional intelligence is essential while working in the health care field. Throughout my time on the job, I have developed this intelligence by observing and monitoring others emotions and my own emotions.

Chapter Eight: Bulimia nervosa is described as periods of binge eating and purging. From freshman year to the end of junior year of high school I struggled with this eating disorder. At the beginning of senior year of high school, I finally started to accept my body and its appearance. I stopped the habit of purging after a meal.

Chapter Five: During my upbringing, typical gender stereotypes were preached. It was expected of me to find a man, get married, and stay at home to raise multiple children. When I was 16, I started questioning these expectations. Eventually I realized that I was not straight, and that I never wanted to parent a child. The typical gender stereotypes did not fit my desired future.

Chapter Eleven: During my upbringing I lived in a nuclear family. My mother, father, and I were the only members in my house. Since my grandmother was struggling living on her own, we decided to have her live in our house. I was her caregiver and my family made sure all of her needs were met. When she moved into our house, my nuclear family turned into an extended family.

Chapter Thirteen: Skeletal maturity was achieved at this time in my life. When I turned eighteen, I reached my greatest bone mass and developmental peak.

Chapter Sixteen: When grandma was recovering from cancer surgery it was determined that she would be taken care of by my family. My mother, father, and I were her primary caregivers. Being her at home CNA was exhausting but rewarding. I will always feel a sense of honor for taking care of my grandma during her dying months. Eventually she required more care than my family could provide. She became a hospice patient and received holistic care through this service.

Chapter Ten: Before college, I had never lived with other people near my age. My college suite has four bedrooms. This means that I had to meet and befriend three new roommates. Within the chapter, impression formation is defined as the formation and revision of our impression of others. At the beginning of the semester, I formed impressions of my roommates and gathered my thoughts on them. Throughout the semester, I have revised the impressions many times.
