    Day At Sea

April 15, 1532. Today is the 15th day at sea. My fellow shipmates are already getting irritable. A few men are finding issues in transitioning into the ship life, mainly the nutrition portion, but I feel they will adapt. We have a long voyage ahead. We plan on stopping at many ports before returning home.

    Port Veracruz

    Port Veracruz
We arrived at Port Veracruz. As we were there I saw many slaves. But that's not the important thing. In Veracruz, they sell gold. This was something we had wanted, but it wasn't everything. We still were in search of spices.

    Day At Sea

After leaving Veracruz, the crew have decided to head West in search of spice. We are heading towards the "Spice Route". I hope we can find what we are looking for.

    Port Muziris

    Port Muziris
We finally arrived at an Indian port known as Muziris. While we have been here we have acquired spices such as Black Pepper and Cloves. Soon I foresee us heading out to sea again in search of more spices.

    Day at Sea

Roughly around three years on the voyage the crew is beginning to become very irritable. Our food supplies have dwindled down. Meals mainly consist of hardtack. I hope soon we reach a port to stock up on supplies.

    Port Malacca

    Port Malacca
We finally arrived to a port, and in perfect time. We had run out of some food sources. We will stock up on food while here. But we have seen shipments of spices come in and out of this area, so we are very hopefull on coming out with spice.

    Day at Sea

Today a tragedy has happened. We were hit by a storm and lost some supplies, as well as men. We are grieving our losses but we must also move on. I have faith in this voyage. But some crewmates after the tragedy, have talked about mutiny. We will have to see how it plays out. But I don't take it lightly.

    Port Bengkulu

    Port Bengkulu
Today we stopped in at Port Bengkulu. We have stopped to gain more spices such as pepper. We have heard rumors that Bengkulu is a pepper selling port. While we are here we will pepare for the voyage home, we plan on making only one other stop at another port on the way back.

    Day At Sea

We are headed back towards home now. The voyage could've gone better. We lost men and supplies, but I do promise we will return with many spices and possibly more gold. I refuse to have this voyage complete without having positive results in trade.
