    Began with women rioting over the exorbitant price of bread and the scarcity of it. They were encouraged by revolutionary agitators then stole a bunch of weapons and stormed the palace.

    A big reason for the attempted escape was because they were at huge risk of physical violence. They were trying to go to Austria but were placed under house arrest when they were caught.

    People believed they could solve all the countries problems. They believed that they needed violence to do so though. They also believed that the production of guns should be high;y increased until every citizen had a musket.

    It consisted of a mob of 30,00 people marching towards Tuileries palace to capture King Louis XVI. The guards attempted to fight off the armed forces even though the King had fled. By the end they had surrendered the palace and only 300 of the 900 survived.

    The Legislative assembly had voted to banish the Monarchy and start the First Republic. This happened awhile after King Louis XVI had signed a constitution, stripping him of much of his power.

    he was tried for Treason by the National Convention. He was found guilty by almost everyone. He became known as the first victim of the reing of terror.
