    Adam and Eve Created

    In Genesis 2.7, humanity was created when "Then HaShem G-d formed man of the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul." God then called the man Adam, and later created Eve from Adam's rib.
  • Noah's Flood
    2348 BCE

    Noah's Flood

    In Genesis 6.17, God has planned a huge flood to destroy humanity. "And I, behold, I do bring the flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; every thing that is in the earth shall perish." Noah is told to build an ark because a huge flood is coming around the earth that lasts 150 days. Noah being so faithful and true to his word, God decided to save him and his family from being killed and destroyed in the flood.
  • Abraham (near Ur) made a Covenant with G-d

    Abraham (near Ur) made a Covenant with G-d

    Late 1900s, in Genesis 17:8 the first covenant was between God and Abraham. "And I will give unto thee, and to thy seed after thee, the land of thy sojournings, all the land of Canaan, for an everlasting possession; and I will be their G-d." God made Abraham the father of the people and in return said that Abraham and his decedents must then obey God.

    Jacob went to Egypt

    After a major drought in the land of Canaan Jacob goes to Egypt. And He said: 'I am G-d, the G-d of thy father; fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation." Genesis 46:3
  • Moses born

    Moses born

    In Exodus 2:6, Moses was born during a time when the tribes of Israel were enslaved by Egyptians. The daughter of Pharaoh found Moses in the river. "And she opened it, and saw it, even the child; and behold a boy that wept. And she had compassion on him, and said: 'This is one of the Hebrews' children."

    Exodus from Egypt; Moses received the 10 Commandments

    Moses leads the Israelites, who were slaves of Egypt, through the desert to the Red Sea. God led this journey to the promised land. "And it came to pass the selfsame day that HaShem did bring the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt by their hosts." When they arrived at Mt. Sinai God spoke the words of the "ten commandments". Exodus 12:51

    Solomon started building Temple

    Solomon wanted to build a temple for the lord. As stated in I Kings 9:1, "And it came to pass, when Solomon had finished the building of the house of the LORD, and the king's house, and all Solomon's desire which he was pleased to do."
  • David, King of Israel

    David, King of Israel

    God makes David the King of Israel in the Late 1000s. He was a great fighter and was loyal to God. In I Chronicles 11:3, "Therefore came all the elders of Israel to the king to Hebron; and David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel, according to the word of the LORD by Samuel."

    Assyria conquered Kingdom of Israel and scattered its people- the "lost" tribes

    When Assyria conquered the Kingdom of Israel several thousand of Israelites were resettled as captives by Assyria. Those tribes that were forces by Assyria became known as the "Ten Lost Tribes". II Kings 17:6, "In the ninth year of Hoshea, the king of Assyria took Samaria, and carried Israel away unto Assyria, and placed them in Halah, and in Habor, on the river of Gozan, and in the cities of the Medes."

    Neo-Babylonians conquered the Kingdom of Judea, destroyed Temple, took Judeans to Babylon

    During this time in history, Neo-Babylonians destroyed the Kingdom of Judah, its capital Jerusalem, and the temple and forcefully took most Judeans to Babylon. II Chronicles 36:19 , "And they burnt the house of God, and brake down the wall of Jerusalem, and burnt all the palaces thereof with fire, and destroyed all the goodly vessels thereof."

    Cyrus the Great conquered Babylon, ending the Babylonian Exile

    Cyrus the Great liberated all the Jewish people from Babylonian captivity. He was led by god to rebuild the Temple in Jerusalem with the help of the Jewish people. Ezra 1:3, "Whosoever there is among you of all His people--his G-d be with him--let him go up to Jerusalem, which is in Judah, and build the house of HaShem, the G-d of Israel, He is the G-d who is in Jerusalem".
