    The move westward was an extremely important event because it tells how many people started moving westward, expanding the United States and discovering more things. Many traveled this way in the pursuit of trapping and trading beavers.     The battle of the Alamo is a very important event that took part in the Texas Revolution. This battle was for the rebellion against Santa Anna. There were very few rebels that fought against the enormous mexican army. All of the defenders of the alamo died in battle, and those that surrendered were executed. This follows the famous saying, “Remember the Alamo! Remember Goliad!”.There were a lot of people involved with the Battle of the Alamo, but the most important people the ones who led it.

    The Treaty of Guadalupe Hidalo, signed by Santa Anna, officially ended the war between Mexico and America. America gained parts of 7 current day states in trade for half of what was offered for California. America promised to protect the Mexican citizens who already lived in those 7 states.
