If you have limitations let the attorney know at the onset of the communication process or as soon as you notice you are having difficulties.

Approach responsibility enthusiastically and do not do so grudgingly.

Expect instructions when you see the attorney so be prepared with a pen and notebook. Date your notebook at the beginning of each day as a reminder of when assignment was given. Always note the due date.

Listen carefully and take good notes. Write instructions down. If you do not understand, ask questions.

When doing assignments for the first time, type the instructions up for review when called upon to do similar assignments in the future.

Review files to obtain information that pertains to the assignment. If this is your first time, ask the attorney if you can obtain a sample from anothe rclients file.

Be clear before starting the assignment. If your not certain make a list and ask attorney when he/she has free time.

Work efficiently and accurately. Keep deadline in mind and review progress periodically.

Always know what job should be completed first and is the most important.

No smudges should be on documents. Staple in upper left corner. Reread and check for errors. Findout the particular place that the attorney wants the assinment placed.
