Robespierre comes to power
Robespierre was elected as deputy for the third estate in the estates general. He had said at first how the declaration of rights of men should be spread and that everyone should be equal. -
Louis calls the estates-general
There was a meeting with the three estates and they discussed the power and rights of each group. The 3rd estate wanted to get the rights of each estate paying equal amount of taxes, not just their own. -
Tennis Court Oath
The estates ad been meeting for about a month and one day found themselves locked out of the regular meeting place. The found a tennis court near by and declared they would not leave until a new declaration for France was created. -
Storming of the Bastille
a group had been formed to fight at the Bastille prison and said they were there to free prisoners, but they wanted to get gun powder. The had killed the prison leader very violently, and put his head on a stick. -
Declaration of Rights of Man
The national asembly approved the declaration and for all men to have natural rights. In this they declared that all men were born free and all of the rights they get. Also disscused the laws and what is okay in France's society. -
Louis Trial
Frnace had put their king on trial and they wanted to kill their king becuase they thought he was a traitor. They wanted him to suffer the death of that, and had ended up being guilty. -
The Terror
Robespierre became ver powerful at this point and wanted to increase his power. Often executed people for their disagreement with the government and how they thought about the coutry in that time of the revolution. -
Robespierre killed
Robespierre was sent to city hall to b tried and then later was sent to Jail. Before that he attempted suicide but didnt die. He eventually was executed and his own head was cut off, like what he did to others.
