  • Basic Integration

    Basic Integration
Today in Calc we worked on reviewing basic integration. I have the most trouble with trigonometric integration because I forget which trig intergrals have negatives. I also need to review the inverse trig integrals/derivatives. Other than that, I think I remember most of the concepts we reviewed, like Riemann sums and average value
  • Differential Equations

    Differential Equations
Today we reviewed differential equations. I am glad to report that Bernoulli equations will not be on the AP! I need to review logistic equations and growth/decay, but I think I still remember Euler's method and separable diff eqs. We also briefly went over slope fields, which I also understand pretty well #ithink.
  • Sequences and Series

    Sequences and Series
Today we went over sequences and the various tests to determine convergence and divergence of a series. It is important to remember that a sequence is a list of numbers, while a series is a sum. I remember geometric and P-series, but I should review the integral test and the direct comparison test. Also, we went over how to use partial fractions to get a telescoping series, which I should review becaus I forget how to do that.
  • Taylor & MacLaurin Series

    Taylor & MacLaurin Series
Today we reviewed Taylor & MacLaurin Series/Polynomials. I remember this unit pretty well, though I need to go back and rememorize the series for common transcendental functions. We also went over how to convert a function to a geometric series using a/(1-r) which I remember! Yay!
  • AP Probs

    AP Probs
Today in Calc we did 3 AP probs with a partner (in my case Matt Bender). I understood how to do all 3 problems, but I need to remember that in order to find where a particle is farthest to the right parametrically you use the derivative of x(t) and find the max.
  • Non-Calculator Multiple Choice

    Non-Calculator Multiple Choice
Today we did 28 non-calculator multiple choice questions. I did questions 1 through 14, which were all pretty straightforward except for numbers 4, 9, 10, and 11. I didn't recognize the limit definition of the derivative in number 4 #oops
Also, number 11 was about MacLaurin series/polynomials, which I definitely need to review because I forget how exactly you make them (though I remember the specific ones for e^x, sinx, cosx, etc. relatively well)
  • Calc Review

    Calc Review
Today we worked on the multiple choice portion of the partner AP test. It went pretty well! I am going to look over series and the mean value theorem.
  • More Calc Review

    More Calc Review
Today we continued our calc review with advanced integration. Luckily I remember most of this unit! Yay!
  • Calculus Review

    Calculus Review
Today we continued reviewing for the AP test. I need to review improper integrals!
  • Calc Review

    Calc Review
Today we graded our review homeworks. Then we reviewed more for the AP! yay! The homeworks made sense, but I think it is important to read the question carefully and work slowly. But not TOO slowly
  • May the 4th be with you!

May the 4th be with you!
Today we went over our partner tests and our THTs. The partner test went well, and the THT was okay...the free response was kind of rough, and I made some stupid mistakes on the MC. Hopefully making corrections this weekend will be a good review!
  • T Minus 2 Days!

    T Minus 2 Days!
Today I took the Psych AP test. It went well! I did my multiple choice THT corrections, which helped me review. I also used my review book to study the concepts I did not remember.
  • T Minus 1 Day!!

    T Minus 1 Day!!
Today I took the spanish AP test - it also went pretty well! I worked on the free response corrections and got a lot of sleep! OMG the AP test is tomorrow!
  • AHHHHHHHH

    AHHHHHHHH
Today was the AP TEST!! It went better than expected! The non-calc MC was great, while the calc MC was pretty tough! The free response was easy and I ended up with a lot of extra time. Yay!
