    Creation of Contantinople

    Emperor Contantine created Constantinople the Capitol of the Byzantine empire. He created where it is because it was easy to defend and was the center of trade routes through Asia, Europe, and North Africa.

    They were riots that occurred because of a conflict over chariot races. It burned half of the city and killed 10,000 people.

    He went on a military conquest to try and regain some of they territory from the barbarians that took Rome.

    Hagia Sophia Completion

    This was the crowning achievement of architecture for the Byzantines. They rebuilt the church that was destroyed during the Nika Riots.

    Fall of Contantinople

    After losing lots of territory and only being left Constantinople, the empire was finally laid to rest when the Ottoman Turks came and put the final nail in the coffin so to say.
